One note:
Eagle-eyed owners might notice several scoring changes as compared to what was showing on the web site Sunday and Monday. Due to the increased number of variables we are now calculating (in particular, yards allowed by defenses), statistics are more likely to be adjusted by the NFL after the conclusion of a week's games.

Several games last week saw their scores change up or down by a point after the fact, but I didn't make a note of it since it did not have an effect on any of the outcomes. This week did, so I thought I should point it out to everyone.

Please be aware of a minor web site bug that I am currently working to resolve.

Waiver wire claims which would leave you with an illegal roster are not being flagged by the site. This is not an issue during the week, as I can verify the moves manually before I approve them, but it can come into play during the period from Saturday midnight to kickoff of the first game when moves are approved automatically.

If you are making a roster move during this time please verify that it is a legal move before submitting it.

(I've started a new part of this post, noting 'Preliminary' on the scores until the NFL updates their statistics Tuesday afternoon. At that point I will edit the scores here if necessary and remove the Preliminary designation.)

As the first half of the 2008 season comes to a close, I want to take this time to evaluate the new scoring rules.

I've been pleased with the rules on a whole, I feel it strikes a nice balance between our old method and methods that devalue touchdowns too much by over valuing yards. I have a couple ideas that might be improvements for next year, but none of them are wholesale changes.

Please use the comment section for feedback, positive or negative on the new scoring system. If you have suggestions for changes this would be a great time to put them forward.
